Seborrheic dermatitis is a chronic inflammatory skin disease that affects areas rich in glands sebaceous: front (eyebrow, ditches nasal, cheeks, scalp) and trunk (right in the sternum and shirr skin).

Case of appearance of seborrhea dermatitis is not fully understood, but it is recognized that Pityrosporon oval microscopic fungus is involved in this occurrence dermatonosis, as genetic factors, environmental and general health of a person.

UVA and UVB radiation inhibit the proliferation of the fungus P. ovale, so many patients to register an improvement during the summer.

Seboreica dermatitis is more common in men than in women, possibly because the activity of glands sebacee is controlled by male hormones. Dermatitis seboreica appears for the first time in adolescence and is intermittent with the adult age.

Seborrheic dermatitis is exacerbated by changes in humidity, temperature, the trauma or emotional stress.

Seborrheic dermatitis prevalence is 3 -5% of the population, the worse men. Dandruff, the easiest form of dermatitis seborrheic is the most frequent, being present at 15 -20% of the population.

Onset is usually at puberty, and peak incidence is registered in 40 years. Seborrhea dermatitis occurs in infants and form “crusts” milk and the elderly.
